Campervan (kuga) had everything we needed and the team were so attentive and responsive whenever we had any questions. Smooth pick up in Christchurch and drop off in Auckland - fab teams. Super clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend for the best kiwi summer roadie!
Experience with Travellers Autobarn has been great, a quality campervan at an affordable price. Special praise to Liam in the Auckland location who helped us with our drop off and made generous decisions to make our drop off and holidays easy and that much better, 10/10.
Great car and van hire at unbeatable prices. The vehicle was very clean and the customer service was excellent. Would definitely recommend and I myself would use them in the future if I ever came back to New Zealand. 👍
The van we rented has seen some better days but over all it was an amazing experience and the van did what we needed it to do. The team in Christchurch were so helpful and it was an awesome experience from the moment we picked up the van to the moment we dropped off the van. Never had any problems and our trip over the South Island of NZ was absolutely breathtaking. We accidentally left our speaker in the van but luckily Chris was able to help very quickly and the whole process went very smoothly (Thanks Chris!!)

We had a great experience with Traveller’s Autobarn Christchurch overall! What an awesome way to see New Zealand. The check-in process was smooth and straightforward, with friendly staff who made sure we were ready to hit the road. Throughout the trip, they were very communicative and promptly addressed an issue we had on the road, which gave us peace of mind. While the camper van was comfortable and reliable, I recommend thoroughly checking all the equipment before heading out - we discovered we were missing some pieces to set up the bed. That said, the team handled the situation professionally and refunded us a full night to make up for it. Despite the minor hiccup, the service and support made our trip enjoyable, and we’d rent from them again!
Nine days driving the Kuga Campervan from Travellers Autobarn in the South Island of New Zealand with my boyfriend was epic! This trip started and finished in Christchurch, and we visited so many different places! We drove straight to Kaikoura and Marlborough, headed to Wanaka, Mount Cook, Queenstown and Glenorchy, followed by Gibbston Valley, Dunedin, and Oamaru. The Campervan was very clean and fully equipped with all the essentials to keep us comfortable throughout the trip, making it feel like a little home. It included pillows, bed sheets, sleeping bags, kitchenware, a heater (which ended up being super useful in Kaikoura 🙈), outdoor chairs, a table, and enough room to store our belongings. The Kuga Campervan provided us with the best breakfast spots, campsites, scenic roads, and memories close to nature. We had the best time in New Zealand. 🥰 Traveling in a Kuga Campervan offered the flexibility to explore diverse destinations at our own pace while enjoying the comforts of home on the road. And, it fostered a unique connection with nature, other fellow Travellers Autobarns, and local communities, enhancing the overall travel experience. We definitely recommend Travellers Autobarn...

Probably the best way to see New Zealand and the camper apps make it easy. 5/5 experience! We explored with the Kuga Campervan, beginning in Christchurch and ending in Auckland. Highlights from the trip include the incredible scenery around Picton, the ferry journey between the islands, views of Mt Taranaki, incredible north island beaches and the glow worms of Waitomo. I think my biggest impression from New Zealand is how diverse the landscapes are. It felt like a combination of Scotland and Bali to me.
We recently took on the South Island of NZ in the Hi5 campervan, and it was nothing short of incredible! The campervan’s versatility made every part of our adventure easy – from cooking meals on the gas stove to making a cup of tea before getting cozy. It had more than enough space for my partner and I, with heaps of storage spots for clothes, food and all of our camera gear. It honestly felt like a tiny home! There was nothing like the freedom to drive from scenic spot to scenic spot and create epic memories along the way. Also shout out to Chris for getting us sorted, you rock. Thank you Travellers Autobarn, we’ll be back!
We rented a Kuga campervan from Travellers Autobarn in Christchurch for 12 days, and it was an outstanding experience. The van was impeccably clean and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bedding materials included sleeping bags, three bed sheets, two pillows, a towel, a hot water bag, and an extra blanket, which kept us warm during the chilly autumn nights. The kitchenware was spotless and looked brand new, with all the essential tools such as a pot, pan, cutting board, and more. The fridge was surprisingly spacious, accommodating even a large bottle of soy sauce. Living in the van was easy and hassle-free. For a couple, the van provided ample space, and the bed was wide enough for a restful sleep. We had no issues driving the van, and we opted for full insurance coverage since it was our first time driving a campervan. Thankfully, everything went smoothly. We wholeheartedly recommend renting a Kuga if you’re planning a trip to New Zealand! We truly loved the van, as it felt like our cozy “tiny” home on wheels. The customer service was fantastic.
