We've had an amazing experience with our Kuga van. We picked up in Auckland and road-tripped around the North & South Islands before dropping off in Christchurch. We visited such amazing places, and the Kuga van was a joy to drive and call our home for 3 weeks. Definitely recommend using Travellers Autobarn for your road trip.

Thank you so much for an amazing month in new zealand!! We got the Kuga campervan (2 people) and it was so comfortable and an overall great experience. We had some problems with our brakes and travellers autobarn booked the van in at a local mechanic and even paid for us to get some drinks while we waited! They were super quick and helpful replying to any issues and the van was just perfect for us. Definitely get the chairs and table and carplay device - honestly game changers. One of our bags did go mouldy from the condensation (the vans get VERY condensated) so don’t recommend leaving anything near the roof vents. We recommend buying some fairy lights for late evenings because the blue setting can get a bit jarring and the white one is quite bright. Overall, van was perfect and so easy to refill / empty water. We never used the toilet so can’t comment on it but kitchen facilities were great! They give you everything you could need. 10/10 recommend
Really happy with TA. Me and my partner have used them twice now. 5 weeks in the high top in Aus! Then the chubby in NZ. Both times we’ve been super happy with the vehicle and service. We were apprehensive at first by the mixed reviews online but I can say everything was awesome.
We had an excellent experience from start to finish. The van was in great condition, very well equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and worry-free trip. We had no issues at all during our journey. The staff at the branch were extremely helpful and took the time to explain everything clearly before we set off. The whole process was smooth and professional. We would definitely recommend this service to anyone planning a road trip.

I absolutely have to leave a positive review for this vehicle and for the service provided by Travellers Autobarn. I slept in this van for five nights and covered a lot of ground—driving from Auckland to Christchurch—and had a fantastic experience. It had a comfortable mattress, a perfect sink, plenty of sleeping space, and was a compact van that was very easy to drive. I was even told that I was the first person to drive this specific vehicle, and I feel truly honored—I really grew fond of it! Lorenzo Labardi
Picked up my van here just minutes from Auckland airport and honestly could not have asked for an easier start. The team sorted me out on the spot, walked me through the whole setup and even gave me tips on where to go and what to do. The van drove really well, super comfy, easy to plug into power at every campsite. I had an early flight for drop off so they just sent me a code to return it early, no fuss at all. Explored the whole North Island with no agenda and it was unreal. Highly recommend.
We loved our 4 weeks trip with the Hi Top for 2 people. First of all, it was very cheap (around 70$/day in beginning of autumn), the staff responded quickly to every questions we had through SMS, we havent had any issues with the van at all. It felt very safe to drive it around, and it drives very easily. The manager was very nice and friendly. There are some little things that were a bit of a downer: we had twice mice in the van (because the van has many holes), the left side view mirror was broken (that was dangerous to drive without being able to see properly). Of course the van is not 100% perfect, we had one of the oldest one (we could compare on the road with other autobarn vans) but we were very happy with it overall. We highly recommend it!
we just wrapped up our road trip with a Chubby campervan from Travellers Autobarn in Christchurch, and we loved every minute of it!!! the vibe was great right from the start when a superrr friendly guy greeted us at the office, gave us some cool road trip tips, and let us raid the "free stuff" table where past travelers left behind some coffee, tea, salt, pepper etc. - it saved us a couple of dollars - we used for souvenirs! the campervan itself was a blast - it’s a bit smaller than the massive vans, which made it zippy and super easy to drive, but it still felt really roomy and comfortable inside. the little kitchen at the back had all the pots, plates, and cutlery we needed, plus a handy cooler box. Our only funny hiccup was on night one when we completely failed at figuring out how to turn the table into a bed, but a quick online guide saved our sleep… because we drove A LOT, the smaller 50-liter gas tank meant we had to refuel almost every day, but the Mobil discount they gave us helped...

Super service , super van . We had a problem and everything was solved with the customer service who also followed up after care. I had a question and they always answered or called me back. We had a great time on the hi-5 with my 76 yo parents. We did more than 6000km and always felt safe. We left the van i Auckland and no probs there either. We have done also the USA and now are thinking of heading to Australia.we loved every minute of it. Just 1 thing we got a parking ticket and TA charged another 75$ , that was not so cool. Except from that thanks
